wild & crazy blueberry Hibiscus Syrup

Wild & Crazy blueberry Hibiscus Syrup

Ingredients
  • 2 cups Nudefruit Wild & Crazy Blueberries
  • 2 tbsp dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Blueberries get their bluish/purple hue from antioxidants called anthocyanins. This beneficial plant pigment helps to repair damaged cells and promote the growth of new and healthy cells while giving protection against free radicals. By enjoying these delicious berries, you are boosting you immune system and providing your body with healthy cells to increase longevity.

Instructions

Boil 1/2 cup of water and make a tea using the 2 tbsp of dried hibiscus flowers and steep for 10 minutes.
In a small saucepan add the blueberries, maple syrup, lemon, vanilla and the hibiscus water.
Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer for 30-45 min to reduce some of the liquid.

Take off the heat once your pancakes or waffles are finished and drizzle overtop.

Enjoy!
