Ingredients
INGREDIENTS:
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 red onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, diced
2 inch piece of fresh ginger, diced
1 tsp cinnamon
3 cups Nudefruit blushing strawberries
3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp Maple syrup
handful of fresh basil, chopped
pinch sea salt and pepper

METHOD
- In a large saucepan, add the tbsp of coconut oil and the red onions. Keep heat on medium to caramelize for about 20 minutes or until the onions are browned. Add the garlic and ginger and add to the onions and stir.
- Add the frozen strawberries, cinnamon, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, basil, salt and pepper.
- Cover with a lid and keep on low for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- This sweet and spicy condiment can be used as a dip for hummus, tofu, tempeh, veggies, crackers, or simply spread on a slice of toast.
